The Board members of Unit 359 want to continue a long tradition of honoring with memorial remembrances members of the unit who have died or whose spouse or child has died. When a death occurs, all the members join their thoughts with the families in the loss and we wish to acknowledge that loss with a meaningful remembrance.
Therefore we request that if any member of Unit 359 learns of the death of a member, a member's spouse or child, that member should contact the Secretary of the Unit and inform the Secretary. At the same time, also give any information as to family choice of charity and a donation in the deceased's name will be made to that charity. A sympathy card will be sent to the family by the Secretary with the information that a donation has been made.
Many meaningful friendships have been established by members of the unit and the Board of Directors relies on those members to inform the Secretary of deaths as they occur as well as the family's charitable giving preferences.
